Inside mounting
Measure three widths and three drops, record the narrowest width and check the depth and handle clearance. The finished shade width is not an instruction to order a shade equal to your opening. The complete headrail and brackets must fit without forcing.
Outside mounting
Measure the intended covered area, not only the glass. Allow overlap at both sides and above the opening. Check the bracket fixing surface. Blackout fabric does not prevent light at an uncovered edge.
Scale for seating
18 × 18 in and 20 × 20 in squares have different footprints. The 12 × 24 in lumbar is wide and low; the 14 × 22 in pleated pillow is taller. The velvet circle measures 16 in across. Dimensions are seam-to-seam; soft filling compresses.
Care without changing the shape
Shades: dust regularly with a soft brush or low-suction upholstery attachment. Keep the headrail dry. Do not machine-wash, immerse or steam the mechanism.
Woven pillow covers: spot-clean first with a barely damp white cloth and mild soap. Test an inconspicuous area; do not scrub embroidery, pleats or flange seams.
Velvet: brush gently in the direction of the pile. The round button cushion has fixed filling and is not machine-washable.
Placement: these textiles are for dry indoor rooms. Avoid prolonged direct sun, damp window condensation and contact with heaters.
Before you order
Can I order a different shade size?
No. Each shade is a fixed 30 × 64 in finished product. Checkout does not accept custom width or drop. Measure first and do not assume we will cut a shade to the measurements in notes.
Will the blackout shade make a room completely dark?
Its opaque backing limits light through the fabric. Light can still enter around the headrail and edges; mounting position and overlap matter. No room-darkness percentage is promised.
Are the pillows covers only?
No. All five listings are complete cushions with polyester filling or an included insert. The round velvet cushion has fixed filling; the other four use a concealed zipper.
Is installation or measuring included?
No. We sell physical goods only. Shade mounting hardware is included, but use fixings appropriate to your wall and follow the supplied instructions. Obtain qualified help if you are unsure.
